    Dectin-2, a C-type lectin receptor, is implicated in the innate immune response to fungal infection. Dectin-2 has been shown to play a role in the recognition of fungi, acting as a pattern recognition receptor. Recent research has shown that Dectin-2 signals through PLCγ2 to aid in the clearing of pathogenic fungus.
